VANCOUVER -- Police confirmed yesterday that they had met with the family of a woman who has been on the city's list of missing women for more than three years.

Debra Jones born Dec 31, 1957 was last seen Dec 21, 2000 and reported missing Dec 25, 2000.

Officers met with relatives of Deborah Jones, who vanished on Christmas Day, 2000, RCMP Corporal Catherine Galliford said. Ms. Jones is one of more than 60 women, mainly sex-trade workers, who have vanished off the streets of Vancouver in the past two decades.

CTV News reported that the family said they were told Ms. Jones's remains had been found on a Port Coquitlam pig farm. "We're not at liberty to discuss the details of those conversations," Cpl. Galliford said.

Port Coquitlam pig farmer Robert William Pickton, 54, has been charged with 15 counts of first-degree murder.
